Thank You
Tonight is Mass and graduation for 8th graders. Can you believe it? This school year is within hours of becoming "history." I first want to say thank-you to all our students this year. Without you, we have no school. You are what makes us "us." Thank you for learning and teaching with me.
Thank you parents for your ongoing support: field trip driving, treats, sports.... a long list of all you have done to help me and your students in our shared journey of growth. Thanks for reading our blogs and supporting this means of communication.
Thank you Mr. Eaton and colleagues. You all have been there for me and others. I feel grateful.
Thank you Father Henry, Father Frank, Brother Tom, and Sister Margaret. You have taught us, blessed us and shepherded us in so many ways. More than we know.
And last... and first... thank you God for your faithfulness in all situations. You have showed up daily in our lives... and hovered over us in our sleep. We sense that we participate in a landscape of faith that is bigger than we can imagine. May your goodness and mercy continue to follow us all the days of our lives.
Some final business.
IF you find any books around the house (or in the car) that belong to OLL. Please return them.
I would encourage students to read over the summer. This habit builds vocabulary and may even stir up delight! The Vaughn Library is offering a wonderful summer program.
Please stay safe and healthy this summer as you enjoy all God has planned for you the next months. Thanks for prayers... and may we continue to keep each other close in our thoughts and prayers.
Good-bye to 8th graders. We will miss you. Thank for the memories!
